The state-owned Arabian Gulf Oil Company (AGOCO) says it has made a new oil discovery in western Libya.

At a MEED business conference in Dubai this week, Abdulbaset Abadi, a member of the oil committee of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) provided an update on the status of the energy sector and outlined future production targets.
