The Libyan Civil Aviation Authority claims the country's airspace will close temporarily from 28 July due to security issues.

Groups in southern Libya have called on the aviation authorities to open Brak airfield, near Sebha, to offset the closure of the city's main airport.

The international passenger terminal at Benina airport in Benghazi has been "damaged by rocket attacks" according to a report posted by Libyan Airlines on their Facebook social media page.
